In a surprising and emotional turn of events, Prince's Trust Canada has concluded its Veteran program, a decision that has left a profound impact on many veterans who benefited from its services.
As a member of the last Operation Entrepreneur cohort, UrsaTV founder Bruno "BrewKnow" Perron received this email: 
A Royal Beginning
The program was initiated with the noble intention of supporting veterans transitioning back to civilian life. It was founded by Prince Charles, who generously used his retirement pay from the Royal Navy to establish this initiative. The royal affiliation imbued the program with a sense of prestige and trust, attracting veterans across the nation seeking support and guidance.
The Impact on Veterans
For many veterans, particularly those dealing with poor mental health, the program's end is especially distressing. The royal connection provided a unique sense of stability and acknowledgment, which is crucial for individuals grappling with identity challenges common with the transition to civilian life. The program offered not just practical assistance but also peer emotional reassurance, making its closure feel like a significant loss.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that the Governor General, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, appointed Farah Mohamed as an independent senator to fill vacancies in the Senate.
"Farah Mohamed has spent 30 years working alongside politicians, philanthropists, and business leaders to improve the lives of Canadians, especially young people, newcomers, and women. She is the current CEO of The King’s Trust Canada, a charity founded by His Majesty King Charles III to help young people facing barriers increase their employability. She is also the former CEO of the Malala Fund and a recipient of the Governor General’s Meritorious Service Medal, among other distinctions."

The announcement contains no mention of Veterans, nor the decade long-program at PTC. Most traces of Veteran programming have been removed from the organization's website.
"The program was essentially disappeared including the incredible buyveteran.ca brand and community... leading to complex and colliding emotions, especially with the Royal affiliation and oath of service.
A bureaucrat, now Senator, has made me feel like the King abandoned me.
The end of PTC's Operation Entrepreneur wasn't only a mental health challenge, but also a professional setback. A year later, I still struggle to piece together all the entrepreneurial resources that PTC had gathered for Veterans.
With this appointment, Senator Farah Mohamed is now enabled by the Crown with means and a lifetime... perhaps her portfolio will include Veterans once again. Her expertise is still needed."
